The village of Kamenná (German: Sacherles) is located 7 km southeast of the town of Trhové Sviny in the České Budějovice District, South Bohemian Region. It has a population of 291. Kamenská hora rises above Kamenná, and on its slopes lies the Zaječí pramen spring with a small chapel. The first mention of the name Sacherles dates back to 1349. Noteworthy sights include the Baroque chapel in the upper part of the village green and the wayside shrine along the road on the outskirts of the village.
In addition to Klažar, Kondrac also falls under the jurisdiction of the municipal office in Kamenná. The village’s original name was Neudorf, and the first records of settlements there date back to 1367. The village is home to an important cultural monument, the Church of the Holy Trinity. From the lookout point on Kondracká Mountain, under favorable conditions, one can see the České Budějovice Basin, the Třeboň Basin, and the Novohrad Mountains.
Klažary, where the fortress of Oldřich and Jan of Klažar stood in the early 15th century, takes its name from the German word “Glasern,” which has been adapted to Czech. Three uniquely situated apartments are located at the very end of the village, in a secluded spot near the forest, amidst the unspoiled nature of the Novohradské Mountains.
